Here’s a lovely music video of yet another artist who should be a lot more popular than he is. I went to the monthly “Open Mic” at Het Depot last Wednesday and the singer of Yevgueni closed the night with a few touching songs that really connected to me. One of them was this song – Video speaks for itself and if you understand Dutch (yeah, that’s the language he sings in) it’s really a nice piece of art… Enjoy and Happy Friday!

Augustana is opening for the Dixie Chicks on some of their shows in Europe. Before their gig at the 8000 people capacity Lotto Arena in Antwerp, Belgium, they warmed up in front of about 40 people in a small bar in the city: Café AMI.

Not for me, but a friend of mine in Seattle. Brenda Xu is her name and she’s over 55% funded with her Kickstarter project to launch her new (second) album. I played bass on one of the songs in her previous album and performed with her in over 35 live shows in Southern California (2007-2009), including the world-famous Whisky-a-go-go on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles.
